When you need a little smack of Glim

Que Sera, Sera…

March 23rd, 2007 by Jason

I lost my Papa this morning.

I will miss him dearly.

I am proud to say that I was Samuel Listi’s grandson.  If you have ever met my Papa you would know how important that is.  My Papa taught me how to swim.  I am sure glad he did, I am almost drowning in sorrow right now.   My Papa taught me how to fish.  I am sure glad he did, I am going to need a little hope and a lot of patience to make it through this.  My Papa taught me how to change a tire.  I am sure glad he did,  because I am broken but I’ll keep moving forward.  My Papa taught me the value of a firm handshake and looking someone in the eye when you speak to them.  That is one thing I will never forget.  “Pride and hard work is what makes a man” is what my Papa would always say to me.  I will live my life by that.  I will always remember my Papa and I will pass down the things he has taught me about life to my children and grandchildren.

Papa,  I will miss you sir.

    Jason,

The greatest testament to a man is what he leaves behind. Knowing what a fine man you are says everything about him and what he stood for.
